Description

While running the ball down the field, freshman Maggie Catney looks to shoot the ball at the goal for a clear shot. Catney participated in lacrosse her freshman year and continued to practice each week during the school year to improve her skills.

While looking down the field, freshman Emma Livingston, freshman Kasey Ruffer, and freshman Elle Moore defend their goal. Livingston, Ruffer, and Moore all worked together throughout the season practiced their positions of defense and goalie.

The girls JV lacrosse team discusses their plays before starting their game against Magnificat. Junior Evan Hardacre encouraged her teammates to try their best the whole game and throughout the season.

While waiting to block the ball, sophomore Lucy Fischer, junior Evan Hardacre, and freshman Emma Livingston hold their positions on the field. Fischer participated in lacrosse her freshman year and continued playing her sophomore year to support her team.

While waiting for a pass, freshman Kasey Ruffer stands in position on the field. The girls junior varsity lacrosse team practiced each day during the week to prepare for their games against their opposing schools. Ruffer said, “

Looking for a clear pass, sophomore Lucy Fischer cradles her lacrosse stick. Fischer played defense her sophomore year and helped the goalie to get the ball to the other side of the field.

While looking for a pass, freshman Sarah Nachtwey takes the ball down the field. Nachtwey played midfield her freshman year and hopes to continue her sophomore year as well.

While cheering on her teammates, freshman Elise Concannon waits to be substituted on to the field. Concannon played midfield for her first high school lacrosse season.

While waiting to block the ball, freshman Elle Moore stands in ready position. Moore was starting goalie for JV and got pulled up to the varsity team for playoffs during the 2017-2018 school year.

With a face of determination, junior Evan Hardacre defends the goal with her teammates supporting her. Hardacre played lacrosse all throughout her high school career and hopes to continue playing her senior year during the 2018-2019 school year. Hardacre said, “I loved getting to know all the freshman and I am really proud of how much we have grown as a team.”
